Visual merchandising is a unique challenge for online-only retail. Without a physical space or face-to-face interaction with brand representatives to convey a brand's ethos in a direct way, e-comm relies almost exclusively on visual media to convey itself. To this end, my role is enliven both the brand and our product offerings using engaging, enticing visuals.
Practically, this includes designing lighting and tabletop sets, as well as prop and food styling where necessary; all in service of not only creating a sensibility for the brand and its merchandise, but also distinguishing it from its competitors in the market.
